I found this delicious basic tomato sauce that was effortless to put together. Of course I had to add sausage to it. I like a precooked

Kale and Brussels Sprouts Salad

This was a very light and fresh salad. Not only delicious, but also full of so much nutrition. I was a little unsure because the kale and brussels sprouts are not cooked. However once dressed with the olive oil lemon juice mixture, pecorino cheese, and toasted alomonds it was perfect!
There are a few different types of Kale, Read the rest of this entry »

My friend Joy shared this soup with me, her words “Terrific” soup. She was right! I will be having it for a second time this week, perfect for a work night because it’s quick and not too heavy. We served it with egg rolls. Joy’s version does not brown the chicken first, she adds the chicken after straining the soup, along Read the rest of this entry »

From the recipe archive, posted back in November 2009. I made this recipe last night but substituted the Halibut for Tilapia, it was awesome!! (Halibut was 24.99 lb., too much for my budget), please enjoy!
I was so excited to make these panko crusted halibut tacos last night, because I new they were going to be really tasty. And that they were!! We had dinner with some friends the other night at BJ’s Brewery, when my eyes hit the halibut tacos on the menu, I decided to try them. Beef and Sausage Turnovers
April 10, 2011 | No Comments »
Beef and sausage turnovers, a variation of a recipe I posted back in 2008, “turkey turnovers with fresh mushrooms”. It’s always fun to change it up, in an effort to try something new. Using pastry sheets instead of crescent rolls made the overall presentation extra elegant. We also thought that it was not as Read the rest of this entry »
Sausage and Shrimp with Fettucine
March 27, 2011 | No Comments »
My friend and client Ines shared this recipe with me. Thank you so much Ines, it was wonderful! In fact I’ve already shared it with other friends that say they can’t wait to make it again! Ines used Penne for her pasta, obviously you can use whatever you prefer, I picked the fettucine because it was what I had on hand. The sauce, a tasty wine and butter sauce that is thickened with milk adds the finishing touch to make this a very decadent pasta dish. Read the rest of this entry »
